Lawrence Perkins enlisted 22nd November 1915 also served as 52178 Highland Light Infantry. Medal roll for the HLI confirms Perkins had served in 16th Rifle Brigade.
Perkins, serving with 17th HLI, was discharged wounded, aged 21 years, on the 5th Jul 1918. He was discharged with Silver War Badge 418958.
