Royal Marines Light Infantry Great War Medal Trio

William Pollard, born in Leicester 1882, joined the Royal Marines Light Infantry in 1901. At the outbreak of the First World War he was serving on H.M.S. Royal Arthur. He transferred to H.M.S. Penelope in December 1914 and he served on her for the majority of the war. He served in excess of 20 years,. His address is given as East Farndon, Market Harborough, Leicestershire and he died in 1960.
