John Samuel Ogle was born 25th October 1879 in Bermondsey, London. His civilian occupation was Commercial Traveller.
He initially entered the Royal Naval Air Service 9th October 1917 transferring to the RAF 1st April 1918 when posted to the Vendome Unit, St Omer.
