Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal & Defence Medal Pair – In box of issue, the Police LSGC medal (GVIR) is named to CONST. FRANCIS J. DOBSON and is swing mounted with a Second World War Defence Medal. The box is marked ESSEX indicating service or living in Essex. The LAW MAGAZINE of the Essex Constabulary dated December 1985 announced the death on the 11th November 1985 of ex P.C. Francis J Dobson, aged 81 years and that he had retired from the Force 1955.
