Very interesting multi campaign miniature medal group of 8, mounted on bar (pin missing) comprising India General Service Medal (Punjab Frontier 1897-98 clasp), Ashanti Medal 1901, Queen’s South Africa ( Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1902 clasp ), Great War trio, India General Service Medal (Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 clasp), Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Edward VII R)
Attributed to Captain Charles Saunders, Rifle Brigade. 1713 Sergeant C Saunders is on the medal roll for the IGSM 1895. He is on the Special Service NCO of the A F F roll for the Ashanti. Colour Sergeant Saunders is confirmed for the 3 clasp QSA. His medal index card confirms the Great War trio, his commissioning to Captain and the IGSM Afghanistan Medal. His Long Service was announced 01/01/1911 and the appointment to Sergeant Major 1910.
Beautiful consistent patina, the good quaility IGSMs, Ashanti, QSA and LSGC medals (5) all of the non-fixed, swivel type.
