Royal Navy Long Service and Great War Medal Group with Persian Gulf Naval General Service Medal and Memorial Plaque.

Henry Alfred Dowse, son of James Dowse, husband of Maud Dowse, of 2, Toronto Rd., Buckland, Portsmouth. Born at Winchester, died 18th May 1916. He was 34 years old when he died and is buried at Portsmouth (Kingston) Cemetery.

He joined the Royal Navy as Boy 2nd Class 24th February 1897. He signed for 12 years 1st October 1899. He died of disease at Glasgow Infirmary whilst serving on H.M.S. Faulknor.
