Description
Great War Casualty medal pair to a East African Campaign Private with 648th M.T. Coy. Army Service Corps, he died 3rd September 1918, aged 30 years old. He originally entered France 9th November 1914 (qualifying for the 1914 Star) and after returning home he set off en-route to East Africa October 1917 on the Port Lincoln. He died with appendicitis having suffered bouts of malaria.
He is Remembered with Honour at Dodoma Cemetery, Tanzania
