Description

Thomas William Dominey, born East Holme, Wareham, Dorset in December 1895 was 18 years old when he joined the Royal Marines at Southampton in Feb 1914.

He landed with the East African Expeditionary Force January 1916 to December 1917 under General Sir Charles Newsham Trotman, K.C.B., R.M.L.I.

He transferred from Portsmouth to Plymouth in 1923.

Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal ( PO. 17155. PTE. T. W. DOMINEY. R.M.L.I. ), Long Service and Good Conduct Medal ( PLY. 21351. T. W. DOMINEY. MNE. RM. ), His papers show that he was entitled to the 1914/15 Star which is not present.
