Excellent Victorian medal pair to John Munns, Private in the 43rd, Monmouth, Regiment.
John Munns enlisted into the 43rd Foot at Westminster in 1853. He had already served in the Middlesex Militia from November 1852. He was born circa 1835 at St Martins, London and was a labourer when he enlisted.
He served a total of 11 years 347 days of which he served 9 years and 8 months in India and then 1 year 9 months in New Zealand.
