2nd Lancashire Rifle Volunteers Helmet. A fine and rare black cloth Victorian helmet with white metal 2nd Lancashire Volunteer Corps helmet plate.
Manufactured by bespoke Military tailors Samuel Brothers of Ludgate Hill, London. In fair condition this helmet is with its helmet tin. There is a hole in the right side and a smaller one at the rear both of which are repairable. This helmet is in need of care and will benefit from restoration to become a very fine item of British Cavalry history.
