First World Medal pair to a Hackney Rifles Casualty.

George James Parfitt formerly 3492, 6th Gloucs Regt., posted 13th Rifle Brigade,was killed in action Friday 3rd August 1917 aged 23 years.

He is Remembered with Honour at the Menin Gate Memorial.

Born Henbury, Bristol. He was the son of Mr and Mrs J Parfiit of 13 Cheriton Place, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol
